Unwell

sick-2I started to feel a little chesty on Saturday night and ignored things as they got worse and worse. On Wednesday morning, I went to do a shoot and when it was over, so was I.

A couple of days in bed have helped and I am feeling vaguely human again but I am still weak as a kitten and my lungs feel like old paper bags filled with broken lightbulbs. I am utterly sick of Mucinex and tea with lemon and can’t wait to get back on my feet.

  1. Sorry to hear you are under the weather. You should retire! I did and now I am cold and flu free. I was hoping to see you do a companion video for Penny’s session. However, she uses sharp objects which you should stay away from until you are better. Please get better soon. Thank you for all that you do!

  2. I’m so glad you haven’t lost your sense of humor through your ordeal. Do get well soon, Danny Gregory, so you can get on to enjoying life. Have you ever taken “Airborne?” It really does work and is all vitamins. Some people take it when they are traveling to ward off all the awful germs in airports and airplanes, hotels, etc. Best wishes.

  3. Being sick is a pain in the ass. I love how your lungs look like an upside down heart. 🙂 Hope you feel better soon Danny. xx

    1. That’s what my man always says as well. He is from Scotland, and hot totties seem to cure just about anything. 😀
      Be well soon, Danny!

  4. Oh dear Danny! Be careful with this one. I have been sick with it off and on for about a month. It eventually turned into walking pneumonia. I thought it was gone so I went full bore into my life and wham!! I hope yours is short lived and you bounce back to your joyful and amusing self. I love your blogs.

    1. Argh! I finally figured it out a good hour after posting my comment. It shows that one can have been in the U.S. for a million years and sometimes still manage to take things literally.

  5. If you take care of yourself, you are still being productive. Try not to rush it, you are well worth it. A little basking in the love and appreciation from your friends may be what is called for here. Who knows, you will probably think of many things to work on when you get better.

  6. When I was sick as a child and at my grandmother’s house, she would take a large woolen sock, heat it by the fire, then wrap it around my neck which had been slathered with Vasoline. My advice…Don’t Do It! I absolutely hated it and even if it did work, all I can remember is how awful it felt! SO, do whatever feels best and in no time, you’ll be as good as new.

  8. Ha haaa, like this joke! I am living in Flanders/ Belgium but not feeling as bad as you do! Hope you will recover soon and be the “old” one again! Meanwhile we are having an incredible good time with “stretching”! Take good care of yourself and try to relax!

  9. Gosh, I had something a while back and I hope you get better soon! That you would think to draw your sick body is no end creative! I’ve got to get out of my box-you help! Be well.

  10. Hmmm, was it starting the day you were filming with Jonathon Twingley? I know we’re all going to have our recommendations but dear goodness anything “over the counter” is crap for your body…especially Mucinex! None of the over the counter chemical crap has healing properties…they only hide the symptoms or prevent your body from fighting a natural illness. Rest, Water, More Rest. No one stays home and recovers anymore they buy drugstore products and keep going. Please take the time needed to be quiet and get well. You can draw while lying down. Do you know anyone who can make you homemade chicken noodle soup? (needs to be all organic too.) Sleep, rest, SPRING water, more rest. More water. Funny-funny movies. Laugh! Okay, I’m off my soap box for now. Healing wishes sent your way!

  11. Dear Danny
Or, poor sweet baby, as my Mum would say, I hope you feel better soon. I’ve really been enjoying your Expressing homework, so perhaps, with a little delay, you will still be able to do some this coming week.
    Best

Your drawing made me laugh. Especially the drip off your nose! So know that feeling of not quite getting the hankie there fast enough.

  12. Have you seen a doctor? If you continue to feel chesty and weak, please go. You could have pneumonia (and I bet I’m not the first person who’s mentioned this.)

  13. Well now you have the title of your new book – not yet written “I’m not in Belgium but I’m feeling phlemish”. I laughed so heard at the title but do want to send get well regards to you. You could channel Freda Khalo and create some work from your sickbed. Seriously though I hope you are well soon!
