EDM #17(better late than never): draw a musical instrument

20120803-093333.jpg
I missed doing this challenge a couple of weeks so, when I saw this wall of guitars in Roanoke, I had to draw them in the semi-darkness as we wolfed down groaning plates of ribs.

OOOO, Danny! What a great place! Roanoke and ribs! Great guitar sketches! Yum about the ribs! Great variety and personality in the guitars! Now if I had tried making that sketch, the whole page would have had big juicy BBQ fingerprints on it! Hehehehe!

even though I have to lay down on my side to see the details I like what I see. especially the shadows and that you get the shape of these guys so darn perfectly. my guitars always look like some morfed balloons going haywire.

Nicely done. I agree with Lynn tho.. I had to lean over to the side to see and read the writing. ๐Ÿ™‚
Lots of great detail for semi darkness drawing. ๐Ÿ™‚

I really like your pen and ink work, especially the textures. I spent some time in Virginia back in 1983. I loved it there!

Amazing sketch! I really love how you rendered all these instruments, even in almost darkness!
Musical instruments are always good subjects for drawings.

Art before breakfast 017: Mohsin Hamid, novelist. I loved Exit West which is the story of refugees in various parts of the world, a vivid reminder that weve all been forced to be nomads at one point or another of our history and that itโ€™s becoming more prevalent all the time as the world gets smaller and more agitated. This book uses a magical device of hidden doorways to transport people out of untenable places but it is real and honest in its depictions of how people think and feel. Itโ€™s an important but thoroughly entertaining read. I also loved his previous book, How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia which is hilarious and wise and ingenious. Hamid is amazing. #artbeforebreakfast. #mohsinhamid
