Sketchbook Club: A Year in Japan

This week I pore over a book I have treasured for years, A Year in Japan by Kate T. Williamson. A stellar example of the travel journal, of design, lettering, and watercolor. I hope you enjoy it as I did.

  1. Danny, I find it amazing that Hannah Hinchman’s “A Life in Hand” that you so eloquently recommended in episode one is now no longer ‘a few dollars’ but last I checked, $87+. We need insider trading tips on your future recommendations 😉

Thanks for this series. I am enjoying it immensely.

  2. Thanks for sharing all the pages of this sweet journal! It reminds me that I need to do more art journaling when I travel; it would force me to slow down and take it all in—rather than just try to check off places on my itinerary with a camera phone.
