I’m not gone. Just gone elsewhere.

I am trying out micro-blogging on Instagram while I travel through Europe (Amsterdam, London, Paris, Bretagne) for a couple of months. I’m trying to draw and write something pithy every day on IG and replicating the post on Facebook.

If you are interested in what I’m up to, follow me there: @dannyobadiah.

I know some people will not like this change but it’s the most efficient way for me to record what I’m doing and thinking without being dissuaded by the obstacles inherent in writing long blog posts here.

I’ll probably switch back once I get home, but I didn’t want you to think I’ve succumbed on one of my usual periods of indolence.

See you on the ‘Gram.

  1. Thank you for the heads up and for exploring different ways to put your art out there. I also know you will share the process and that is what makes you special. Don’t try to smell the roses, breathe in.

  2. Yup you’re right, I don’t like this change, but you have to do what you have to do. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t work for me so I won’t be following you. Hopefully you will come back when you return home. Until then…safe travels and happy new adventures.

  3. I’m enjoying your postings on IG. And, I just saw the drawing on the IPAD class. I’ll have to sign up for that! I’ve had an IPAD, the pencil, and Procreate for awhile, but never made the time to sit down and really figure out how to use them well. Thanks for teaching this!

  4. Loving your Instagram posts! You are firing me up about what is possible on IPad as I am not always enamoured with iPad art I have seen elsewhere. You are demonstrating that not all iPad art has to have that smooth textureless look. I like your digital art way better than, say, Hockney’s though I love his paintings (don’t let that go to your head lol). I have the Pro, I have the Apple Pencil but so far a lot of dithering …. keep them coming and I am sure to put ceramic to glass more seriously soon. And yes… I will be doing your Klass for sure.
